May 2007:: Is your IT a bit of a Gamble?

This year, Qube Networks once again stole the show, with our Las Vegas style casino and show girls on prominent display. As in previous years, we used our gambling theme to highlight our core message - that many organisations are unnecessarily risking that organisation's future success by running their IT and comms on messy and untidy infrastructure that no auditor in a fit state of mind would ever sign-off. Just like a house of cards, it can come crashing down in a heartbeat.

Qube Networks are here to help you improve your odds. Whether it is Managed Hosting, a design and build project to tidy up your mission critical IT and comms infrastructure, or a co-location deal at our central London data centre. Qube Networks have a unique set of products, services, and people, that will ensure that you will win every time.

April 2007 :: Qube Networks secures additional Data Centre space in crowded London

As London's data centres rapidly reach capacity; Qube Networks today announced that it has secured additional prime data centre space in central London to meet increasing customer demand, and warned of the 'rack and ruin' threat of data centre overload.

Recent research has shown a sharp increase in demand for co-location and managed services with many industry analysts predicting that London is about to run out of capacity. Even with the deployment of space-saving blade servers, the increased energy and cooling demands are causing severe problems for many data centre providers. Typical data centres provide around 1kW of power and cooling capabilities per rack. However, a rack of new blade servers often requires up to 15kw of power.

Tom Howard, Chief Technical Director at Qube Networks, warned: "As the pressure builds on London's data centre space there is clearly a danger of industry temptation as providers try to squeeze more and more from their existing capacity. Any sort of compromise on capacity, power or cooling could quickly lead to 'rack and ruin' for customers and providers alike."

Qube Networks has secured an additional 1,600ft2 of capacity at the Level 3 data centre in Goswell Road to compliment its existing 4,000ft2 private suite. Qube's new suite is designed for high-density co-location and managed services, offering up to 4.5kW per cabinet as standard.

"Qube Networks has built its reputation providing co-location and managed services of the highest standards and we will not compromise on these qualities," said Tom Howard. "With the pressures on data centre space in London rising every day, we are delighted to have been able to secure this additional, top quality facility for our customers."

Oct 2006 :: DARE you accept the Qube Net Challenge ?

Qube Net Works pull off another show-stopping event! To be really honest, we were not 100% certain that our Haka theme would work at Linux World Expo last week. Boy were we wrong! Every time our Maori warriors performed their Haka, the show literally came to a stand-still. If you don't already know, the Haka is a traditional Maori war dance that was used in preparation for mortal combat. The Haka is also perfored by the mighty New Zealand All Blacks before their games, so when you see them playing England over the next few weeks, please remember the Qube Net Challenge!

The Qube Net Works challenge isn't nearly as life threatening as the Haka. We simply challenge you to visit our central London data centre any time in the next three months. If you are not totally blown away, then we will write out a cheque for £50 to a charity of your choice. To accept our challenge, please contact the Qube Net Works sales department in the first instance to arrange your tour.

May 2006 :: Get Lucky!

Qube Networks would like to thank all 3,100 people who visited our stand at Internet World, and made it by far our most successful show ever. We hope you all enjoyed visiting Qube Networks and had a great time trying to win our trip for two to Las Vegas, while learning how Qube Networks can help you to Get Lucky, by taking the gamble out of your company’s IT or Comms projects. Our winner managed to gamble his initial stake up to £389,500 at the table and was the clear winner by a country mile. In fact, he’d never played Roulette before, but I suspect he won’t be shy of playing for real money in Las Vegas!
